Our approach
Everyone can decide for themselves who they share their personal data with and what it may be used for. This means:

- We process data to fulfil our contractual obligations.

This is what we collect
- Technically necessary data: Certain data is needed to provide you with the platform's features: IP address, time of visit, browser and country. Tracking is done via plausible.io.
- Data for your convenience and security: We use cookies to prevent data manipulation and to recognise your user session.
- To operate the application securely and reliably, we log errors with Sentry.io.
- Data in which we have a legitimate interest: We measure usage of the platform with the privacy-friendly tool Plausible (more information at www.lernetz.ch/datenschutz).

Only authorised personnel at SSPH+, LerNetz AG, and the partner companies they commission have access to data. We ensure our partner companies uphold data protection standards.
Where is my data stored?
Hosting of the overall platform (learning environment) is provided by Begasoft AG, Laupenstrasse 17, 3008 Bern. Begasoft operates a Tier-IV data centre in Bern-Wankdorf, Switzerland, and a geo-redundant system at SenseLan in Düdingen.

Transfer of personal data abroad
Data processing generally takes place in Switzerland. In certain cases, we may transfer personal data to other countries or have it processed there, provided an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed. We follow the list of safe third countries issued by the Swiss Federal Council.
How long is my data stored?
Data is stored until the project is discontinued. If you wish, we are happy to delete your data on request.

What rights do I have regarding my data?
You can reach the person responsible for data protection at: info@ssphplus.ch. You may ask questions about data processing and exercise your data protection rights (e.g. the right to access, rectification, erasure, or objection).
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
